Elephant crop raiding is a major concern in the eastern Okavango Panhandle, Botswana. A questionnaire was drawn and administered by interviewing randomly selected subsistence farmers mainly to understand farmers’ perspectives on planting strategies, crop choice and elephant crop raiding. The objective of the study was to evaluate whether elephant raiding influences the choice of a particular crop and cropping method.
