Description

This data package comprises 2D annotated floor plan and orthographic drawing documentation of a public high-rise building flat in Hong Kong. The research project record designates this flat interior as “Case 3PHNS1”. The drawings were developed as part of the Volumetric Behaviour Analysis (VBA) workflow, following a LiDAR scan of the flat interior conducted through a 12-minute walk-through using a Leica-brand BLK2Go 3D environment scanner. The drawings provide a detailed description of the layout, furniture arrangement, fixed fittings, movable items, and spatial organisation within the interior of the public high-rise apartment. The data supports the interpretation of housing conditions in super-tall and super-dense housing units, including spatial utilisation and user contents. Access to the data is granted only after a one-year period of restriction to ensure the protection of individuals’ personal information. The data is provided for future research examining housing behaviour in connection to spatial use.

Steps to reproduce

The source spatial data was gathered through a 12-minute scan of the high-rise public housing interior using a Leica BLK2Go Photogrammetry and LiDAR portable scanner. The resulting spatial documentation was interpreted through the Volumetric Behaviour Analysis workflow to produce annotated floor plan and orthographic drawing outputs. The relevant 2D annotated floor plan pages were extracted from the complete A2 panel document and saved as a separate PDF dataset for upload.
