The provision of medical care for survivors of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo faces many challenges, such as treatment failures, drug resistance, poor-quality medicines and a lack of healthcare supplies. This situation is believed to underlie the many problems faced by survivors of sexual violence, effectively inflicting a triple punishment upon them. We are addressing this issue as part of the fight against sexual violence and in order to improve the care provided to victims of these atrocities.
