The morphological information of the main channel cross-sections in the Baihe to Sunkou reach of the lower Yellow River
Description
Based on post-flood measured sediment cross-sectional data from 2000 to 2021 in the Baihe-Sunkou reach of the lower Yellow River, the main channel positions of each cross-section were first identified. Subsequently, Python scripts were utilized to extract the corresponding main channel cross-sectional morphology information, and reach-scale main channel morphology metrics were calculated. Given that the lower Yellow River channel features a compound cross-section, the delineation of the main channel morphology is complex. This dataset identifies the main channel positions and extracts morphological information for approximately 2,500 measured sediment cross-sections. The systematic and comprehensive nature of this dataset supports research related to the morphology of the main channel cross-sections in the lower Yellow River.
