The objective of the study is to examine the role of human capital and institutional quality on the nexus between FDI and Poverty in SSA. The data were sourced from World Bank, Penn World Table and UNCTAD. The findings suggest host absorptive capacity matter on the efficacy of FDI in reducing poverty
