Municipal tuberculosis mortality rates in Colombia, 2008-2022
Description
This dataset contains municipality- level tuberculosis (TB) mortality data for Colombia from 2008-2022. It includes the number of TB deaths, population denominators by age group, crude mortality rates, and sex and age-standardized mortality rates calculated per 100,000 population. Data were aggregated at the municipality level using official administrative codes (DANE codes). The dataset allows for the analysis of temporal and spatial patterns of TB mortality across the 1,122 Colombian municipalities. The dataset structured for Joinpoint Regression and Interrupted Time Series Analysis (ITSA), containing annual sex and age-standardized TB mortality rates by municipality, suitable for assessing longterm and segmented temporal trends. Dataset prepared for spatial and patio-temporal analysis, including variables required for Moran's I, Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA), and SaTScan. cluster detection. Variables: dane, year, standardize, xcoord, ycoord and population denominators. The cartographic boundaries were obtained from the Instituto Geográfico Agustin Codazzi (IGAC) Colombia en Mapas. Access to surveillance data from the National Public Health Surveillance System (SIVIGILA) was authorized through a Data Transfer Agreement nO. 2447 of 2024, signed with the Instituto Nacional de Salud (INS), Colombia.
