Description

The present study consists of proposing development scenarios for improved artificial recharge of the Turonian aquifer. The data presented can be grouped into two categories: The first category covers geological, hydrological and hydrogeological studies, through the preparation of maps and permeability studies for the feasibility of artificial recharge of the Turonian aquifer, such as the choice of sites to be developed, the type of recharge device, infiltration into recharge devices, the configuration of watercourses, upstream flow rates, etc. The second category covers climatological, hydrological and hydrogeological data. The second category includes climatological data, as part of the study of the appropriate period for artificial aquifer recharge.

Steps to reproduce

Permeability test measurements were conducted using a double-ring infiltrometer, while piezometric and climatological data were provided by the Oum Er Rbia water basin agency. Finally, the maps were produced using ArcGIS software.
