Description

This dataset contains raw experimental data supporting the study "Development and Evaluation of Mebendazole-Loaded Bovine Serum Albumin Nanoparticles (MEB@BSA-NPs) for Ovarian Cancer Therapy." Bovine serum albumin nanoparticles loaded with mebendazole (MEB) were synthesized via a desolvation–crosslinking method and characterized for physicochemical properties, in vitro drug release, and anticancer activity against SKOV-3 human ovarian cancer cells. Files included: FESEM_particle_size_raw_data.csv: Raw particle diameter (Feret diameter, nm) measurements obtained from ImageJ analysis of FESEM micrographs (n = 405 particles). FTIR_spectra_raw_data.csv: Raw FTIR spectral data (wavenumber, cm⁻¹, vs. transmittance/absorbance) for free MEB, blank BSA-NPs, and MEB@BSA-NPs. MTT_cytotoxicity_raw_data.csv: Raw absorbance (OD570) and normalized cell viability (%) values from MTT assays performed on SKOV-3 cells at 48 and 72 hours, across a concentration range of 0.45–28.8 μg/mL, for free MEB, MEB@BSA-NPs, and blank BSA-NPs. Drug_release_raw_data.xlsx: Cumulative MEB release (%) at pH 6.2 and pH 7.4 over 48 hours, determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometry (n = 3 replicates per group). Wound_healing_raw_data.csv: Scratch wound area measurements (pixels²) and calculated wound closure percentages for Control, blank BSA-NPs, free MEB, and MEB@BSA-NPs at 0, 18, and 36 hours. Flow_cytometry_raw_FCS_files.zip: Raw flow cytometry data files (.fcs format) for Annexin V/PI apoptosis assay and coumarin-6 cellular uptake assay, exportable and analyzable in standard flow cytometry software (e.g., FlowJo, FCS Express). All experiments were performed in triplicate (n = 3) unless otherwise indicated. Data were analyzed using GraphPad Prism (v10.4.2) and ImageJ (NIH).

Steps to reproduce

DLS measurements were performed using a Malvern Zetasizer Nano ZS (ZEN3600) at 25°C. Nanoparticle formulations (F1–F7) were prepared via desolvation technique as described in the associated manuscript . Each formulation was measured in three technical replicates.
