After removing 50 duplicates, 105 articles remained, forming Set 1, and proceeded to the screening phase. An initial reading of titles and abstracts was conducted, using binary responses (yes or no) for the eligibility criteria, resulting in the exclusion of 74 articles. A total of 31 articles remained, which were included in Set 2, and read in their entirety by two independent researchers. Any uncertainties were resolved by a third researcher. After the full-text reading, 12 articles met the eligibility criteria and formed Set 3, being included in this systematic review. Some studies included LGBTQIA+ individuals and older adults among their participants but did not stratify the data specifically related to older adults in this group, and therefore, they were excluded.
