Description

This repository contains the data supporting the study “Do aphid endosymbiotic bacteria influence parasitoid searching behaviour through changes in aphid honeydew production?” The datasets were generated through controlled laboratory experiments designed to assess whether the presence of endosymbiotic bacteria in aphids indirectly affects parasitoid searching behaviour via modifications in honeydew production. The repository includes experimental data on aphid honeydew production, aphid symbiotic status, and parasitoid behavioural responses. Data are provided in structured tabular formats suitable for statistical analysis. Variable names, units, and experimental conditions are documented to facilitate interpretation and reuse. All data have been curated and quality-checked prior to deposition. No personal or sensitive data are included. The datasets enable replication of the analyses presented in the associated publication and may be reused for comparative studies on insect–microbe interactions, chemical ecology, or parasitoid foraging behaviour. Users are requested to cite the associated article when using these data.
