Employee Diversity Acceptance in Dubai
Description
Employee productivity and work quality were the dependent variables, and the effects of the independent factors (diversity acceptance of employees) as well as the proposed mediating and moderating variables were examined. To determine the key characteristics (reductions) that largely influence decisions about the relationship between employee acceptance of diversity and productivity and work quality in Dubai organisations, the Backward Elimination approach based on Rough Set Theory was employed. The Python programming language was used to implement the approach in the Google collaboration environment. This methodology facilitates the identification of minimal attribute subsets (reducts) that maintain the original /Feature/variable set’s classification capacity by offering a methodical approach to attribute/feature/variable reduction using Rough Set Theory.. The variables in this dataset are as follows: 1. Demographic variables are Age, Language spoken, Nationality, and Gender. 2. As far as the predictor/independent variables are concerned, they are Diversity Acceptance of Employees w.r.t. Physical Appearance, Ethnic Wear, Race and Ethnicity, Language, Religious Beliefs, Food Habits, Tradition, Accent and Dialect, Religious Practices at Workplace, and Community Culture. 3. The mediating variables are the Presence of Organisational Culture of Racial Diversity Acceptance, Gender Diversity Acceptance, Accepting LGBTQ+ Employees, Age Diversity Acceptance, Religious Diversity Acceptance, and finally, the Socio-Economic Diversity Acceptance. 4. The dependent variable is Perceived Impact of Diversity Acceptance on Productivity and Quality of Work.

Therefore, the workforce was heterogeneous and representative of a diverse workforce population. The demographic variables are – Age, Language spoken, Nationality, and Gender. The mediating variables are the Presence of Organisational Culture of Racial Diversity Acceptance, Gender Diversity Acceptance, Accepting LGBTQ+ Employees, Age Diversity Acceptance, Religious Diversity Acceptance, and finally, the Socio-Economic Diversity Acceptance. The dependent variable is Perceived Impact of Diversity Acceptance on Productivity and Quality of Work. The Forced-Choice method of survey with a variant of the 5-point Likert scale was used in this study. The variant of the scale had 4 descriptors (“Completely Agree”, “Agree”, “Disagree” and “Completely Disagree”) without the neutral point (“No Comment” or “I Don’t Know” or “Not Sure”) descriptor.
