Dataset for: Distinct exocrine glands contribute to the chemical polymorphism across developmental stages and sexes in Riptortus pedestris
Description
This repository contains the dataset of semiochemical compound abundances in the bean bug Riptortus pedestris associated with the manuscript: "Distinct exocrine glands contribute to the chemical polymorphism across developmental stages and sexes in Riptortus pedestris." The data are presented in an Excel file with five sheets: “Nymphal semiochemical abundance,” “Male semiochemical abundance,” “Female semiochemical abundance,” “Male’s MI in abdominal parts” (reporting myristyl isobutyrate levels in midgut, hindgut, reproductive organs, fat body, and integument), and “Male’s MI across sternites.” Each sheet provides quantitative data per sample, including abundance as peak area, abundance in ng, and sample sizes, allowing direct comparisons of semiochemical profiles across developmental stages, sexes, and tissue types.
