Closing the carbon handoff gap: cross-lifecycle governance of construction freight in net-zero building design
Description
This dataset contains the supporting research materials for the study “Closing the carbon handoff gap: cross-lifecycle governance of construction freight in net-zero building design.” The dataset supports the study’s examination of how construction freight carbon information can be governed across building design, procurement, logistics, delivery, and verification stages. It documents the evidence synthesis and analytical development used to examine the carbon handoff gap and develop a cross-lifecycle governance approach for construction freight in net-zero building design. The Excel workbook contains five worksheets: Document Inventory, Source Coding, Applied Codebook, Framework Requirements, and Decision Schema. The Document Inventory records the academic and related sources included in the analysis. Source Coding documents the coded evidence, analytical themes, theoretical lenses, and associated research memos. The Applied Codebook provides the coding categories and their inclusion and exclusion criteria. Framework Requirements translates the analytical findings into governance requirements covering boundary integrity, decision traceability, information-processing fit, contractual enactability, reconciliation, uncertainty visibility, and closed-loop learning. The Decision Schema specifies the information fields required to support traceable freight-related carbon decisions across the building lifecycle. The materials are provided to support research transparency and reproducibility by documenting the evidence base, coding structure, analytical development, and framework specification underlying the study. The dataset contains no personal, confidential, or participant-level information.
