ODD SPOT (tm) Skin Cancer Education Guide. ODD SPOT offers a simple, non-memorization based, broad focused, visually engaging skin cancer education tool incorporating diverse clinical images, color coded visuals and evidence informed descriptors that resonate with lay users. The tool includes features of all 3 major skin cancers and is written in clear language, aligning with CDC, NIH and WHO standards for health communication. O - Odd looking, D - Dry/Scabby, D - Discolored, S - Shiny, P - Puffy/Painful, O - Open, oozing or bleeding, T - Transforming Supplementary Tables: I: Professional and Public literature review for terms relating to skin cancer II: Plain language definitions of each ODD SPOT term.
