Description

This dataset was used to generate groundwater-dependent ecosystem (GDEs) potential zones maps across the Cuitzeo groundwater flow system (GFS) located in Central Mexico. The dataset contains the environmental attributes of each GDEs and non-GDEs locations gathered in this research. The GDEs locations were obtained through inventaries and fieldwork while the non-GDEs locations were generated with random sampling, as non-GDEs locations were not available. The environmental factors used in this research include geological variables (lithology, lineaments density and distance to lineaments), topographical variables (elevation, slope, curvature and main landforms), surface hydrology (drainage density and distance to drainage), soil type, Land Use/Land Cover (LULC), the coefficient of variation (CV) of the NDVI and the CV of NDMI.
