Organ-level N, P, and K concentrations in almond and olive trees under a gradient of mineral fertilization
Description
This dataset contains organ-level mineral concentrations and dry biomass measurements from two controlled container experiments comparing almond (Prunus dulcis) and olive (Olea europaea) trees grown under a gradient of N, P, and K fertilization. Almond trees were measured in 2018–2019 across five irrigation N concentrations (10–150 mg L⁻¹), five P concentrations (1–15 mg L⁻¹), and five K concentrations (10–150 mg L⁻¹). Olive trees were measured in 2008–2010 across six N concentrations (0–200 mg L⁻¹), six P concentrations (0.5–20 mg L⁻¹), and six K concentrations (0–200 mg L⁻¹). Each experiment varied one nutrient at a time while holding the other two at reference concentrations (50 mg N L⁻¹, 5 mg P L⁻¹, 50 mg K L⁻¹). Trees were grown in inert perlite containers at the Gilat Research Center, Israel, with 4–5 replicate trees per treatment. The dataset is in long format (1,572 rows). Each row is one measurement from one tree on one date.
