This dataset supports the systematic review entitled “N-Acetylcysteine as an Adjunct to Antibiotics against Bacterial Biofilms: A Systematic Review of In Vitro Evidence.” The review evaluated comparative in vitro studies investigating N-acetylcysteine (NAC) used in combination with antibacterial antibiotics against bacterial biofilms. Eligible studies included experiments assessing either inhibition of biofilm formation or treatment of established/preformed biofilms and required a matched antibiotic-without-NAC comparator.
