Checklist of Slime Moulds Recorded in North-Eastern Poland

This dataset provides a literature-based checklist of slime moulds recorded from north-eastern Poland. For the purposes of this dataset, north-eastern Poland is defined as the complete administrative area of the Warmian-Masurian and Podlaskie voivodeships. The dataset contains two files: - The first file, “Slime_Mould_Checklist_NE_Poland”, includes a list of slime moulds species recorded from the defined study area and the publications in which each species was reported. It contains two columns: species name and source publication(s). - the second file, “Bibliography_NE_Poland”, contains the full bibliographic list of all publications cited in the species checklist. The dataset is intended as a compact reference source for documenting published records of slime moulds from north-eastern Poland. It does not include new field records or specimen data

Steps to reproduce

- Define north-eastern Poland as the complete administrative area of the Warmian-Masurian and Podlaskie voivodeships. - Compile publications reporting slime moulds from localities situated within this defined area. - Extract all reported myxomycete species and assign each species to the publication(s) in which it was recorded. - Standardize species names according to the taxonomic treatment (nomen.eumycetozoa.com).
