Description

This dataset provides the research data and code supporting the manuscript “The Long Run of a Monetary Economy: Steady States, Recurrence, and Survival in Simulation.” The archive contains the model and analysis source code, registered experimental protocols, scientific specifications, raw and derived simulation records, environment specifications, schemas, focused reproducibility tests, and claim-level provenance. It also includes a file manifest and a verification script for checking the integrity of the extracted contents. The manuscript, figures, tables, and appendices are submitted as part of the separate manuscript file and are not duplicated in this dataset. The study uses generated simulation records and contains no confidential participant data. The software is provided under the MIT License. Author-created simulation data and replication documentation are provided under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Third-party materials retain their original rights.

Steps to reproduce

These instructions apply to the dataset “Replication Data and Code for The Long Run of a Monetary Economy: Steady States, Recurrence, and Survival in Simulation.” 1. Download and extract the dataset ZIP file. 2. Open a terminal in the extracted Paper_G_Research_Data_2026-09-07 directory. 3. Verify the archive contents: python verify_manifest.py The expected result is: PASS: verified 1139 research-data files. 4. Install the pinned Python environment using uv: uv sync --frozen --extra dev --extra analysis 5. Run the focused model and analysis checks: uv run --frozen pytest -q --no-cov tests/reproducibility/test_ring_sensitivity.py tests/reproducibility/test_ring_service_evaluators.py tests/reproducibility/test_ring_service_integration.py tests/reproducibility/test_w1_reconstruction.py The expected result is: 101 passed. 6. The registered raw and derived results are stored under out/papers/. Active protocols, scientific specifications, schemas, environment records, and claim-level evidence are stored under docs/papers/paper_G/replication/ and replication/. 7. Use MANUSCRIPT_BINDING.json to verify that the data package corresponds to the separately submitted manuscript. The archive provides the authenticated raw and derived outputs used by the paper. Complete regeneration of the sealed simulation campaigns is computationally intensive and must follow the included registered protocols. No confidential participant data are used.
