The repository contains three main files: (1) a .zip folder with the raw chromatograms from the experiments (blank samples, qualitative control, and samples); (2) the retention index file for matabolite annotation (Alkanes-Retention-index.txt); and (3) an Excel file reporting the extracted intensities, quant mass, spectral similarities, putative annotations, metabolite spectra, and all statistical outputs (PCA, OPLS-DA, t-Test, Volcano Plot data, enrichment analysis etc.).

Steps to reproduce
For this experiment, MS-Dial version 4.9 was used with default settings. Data annotation was performed using the retention index list (Alkanes-Retention-index.txt), which was generated from injections of even-numbered alkanes (C8–C40). Compound identification relied on two libraries: (i) “All records with Kovats RI” (containing 9,062 unique compounds) available in the MS-Dial repository and (ii) a custom-built library (available upon request from the authors).
