Steps to reproduce
1. Perform low-energy proton implantation on 22MnB5 press hardened steel samples as indicated in our manuscript. 2. Prepare transmission electron microscopy (TEM) lamellae of the implanted area using the technique of focused ion beam (FIB). 3. Analyse the effects of hydrogen post-implantation in the microstructure of the steel via phase-contrast (through-focal imaging), for the identification of bubbles/nanocavities/nanocracks. 4. Compare the samples from 2,3 with pristine samples from the same material.
