Global SDG–Gender Panel Dataset

Description

A dataset compiled from internationally recognized sources, constructed as a cross-country panel for empirical analysis. The dataset integrates Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators from Sachs et al. (2025), including the overall SDG Index, SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). These are combined with data on Female Labor Force Participation (FLFP) and a composite Gender Equality Index obtained from IMF-based gender datasets (Gender Equality & IMF, 2025; IMF, 2025). The resulting Global SDG–Gender Panel Dataset provides harmonized country-year observations, enabling consistent comparison of development outcomes, gender conditions, and labor participation across countries and over time.

Steps to reproduce

Data Collection Download secondary data from the following sources: SDG indicators (SDG Index, SDG 5, SDG 8) from Sachs et al. (2025) Female Labor Force Participation (FLFP) and Gender Equality Index from IMF datasets (2025) Data Preparation Merge datasets using Country and Year as keys Convert all variables to numeric format Remove missing observations (listwise deletion)
