These files correspond to the study of the seasonal dynamics of economically important arthropods associated with avocado (Persea americana Mill. cv. Hass) phenology in two commercial orchards in Morelos, Mexico, using the extended BBCH scale. The files contain the original sampling data used to determine the seasonal abundance of arthropods at the different phenological stages of avocado defined by the extended BBCH scale. They also include the data used to evaluate the association between the dominant arthropod group (Thysanoptera) and avocado phenology, as well as the correlation analyses between arthropod abundance and meteorological variables (relative humidity, temperature, and wind speed).

Steps to reproduce

To determine the incidence of economically important arthropods throughout the crop’s phenology, 52 fortnightly samplings were carried out at each site over two complete annual cycles, corresponding to the vegetative and reproductive phases known as normal flowering (mesostage 1) and crazy flowering (mesostage 2), as described by Már-quez-Santos et al.
