Johanna BuschmannDescription
We developed a DegraPol® fiber mesh with incorporated Bakuchiol and on-planted the scaffold in the chorioallantoic membrane of the chicken embryo (CAM assay). After one week, we assessed the total cell density at the interface between the scaffold and the CAM in H&E stained histological sections. Moreover, we determined semi-quantitatively the tissue integration and the collagen intensity in Masson Goldner Trichrome stained histological sections. The scaffold itself was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), where fiber thickness and pore size were measured, for which raw data and calculated mean and standard deviation are provided.
