Breakup Responses Dataset: A Cross-Sectional Survey of Emotional Distress Coping Behaviors and Psychological Recovery Following Romantic Relationship Dissolution

This dataset contains responses from 4,333 participants who completed an anonymous cross-sectional online questionnaire investigating the psychological and behavioural consequences of romantic relationship dissolution. The survey was designed to assess emotional distress, coping behaviours, social withdrawal, recovery perception and suicide-related risk factors following a breakup. The dataset consists of 26 variables, including one timestamp variable and 25 questionnaire items. The questionnaire captures demographic characteristics relationship history breakup characteristics emotional well-being behavioral changes coping strategies perceived social support and recovery status. No personally identifiable information was collected. The dataset is suitable for psychological behavioural health, public health and machine learning research involving mental health prediction, risk assessment and recovery modelling.
