Description

This study examines the relationship between childhood maltreatment and disturbances in self-organisation (DSO) among adolescents, with a particular focus on the mediating role of emotion regulation difficulties. Using validated self-report measures, data were collected from adolescents with prior exposure to psychological services. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to assess both direct and indirect associations. Findings highlight that multiple dimensions of emotion regulation difficulties significantly mediate the relationship between childhood maltreatment and DSO, offering a nuanced understanding of trauma-related outcomes within a CPTSD framework.
