Description

The data is collected to provide information about the ICT application capacity in educational research of pedagogical students in Vietnam and the factors affecting this capacity. The survey subjects were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year pedagogical students from 6 universities offering undergraduate education in pedagogy in Vietnam, equally divided among 3 regions of Vietnam (North, Central and South Vietnam); in which 3 pedagogical schools, 3 multidisciplinary training schools.

Steps to reproduce

The dataset has been built to determine the current status of ICT application capacity in educational science research of pedagogical students in Vietnam and the factors affecting this capacity, thereby allowing researchers to propose measures to develop ICT application capacity in educational research for pedagogical students. The questionnaire was built on Google Form and sent links to students from 2nd to 4th year of 6 universities offering pedagogy in Vietnam. Using stratified random sampling, the researchers passed the survey link to students via text messages or emails that clearly explained the purpose of the survey before they answered the questions. The content of the survey consists of three main question groups: (1) capacity to apply ICT in educational science research; (2) factors affecting ICT application capacity in education science research; and (3) personal information of the respondents. A total of 893 responses were submitted via the survey link. Unreliable answers have been removed. The final dataset consists of 889 valid observations
