This dataset contains literature-derived mechanistic pathways and treatment outcome data describing hypochlorous acid (HOCl) applications in goat production systems. Dataset components include conceptual figures, wound healing data, navel treatment outcomes, and metadata used in the review article. Dataset contains curated literature-derived data describing the application of hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in goat production systems. The dataset comprises mechanistic diagrams illustrating antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and productivity-enhancing pathways, together with quantitative and qualitative tables describing footrot healing progression and neonatal navel treatment outcomes under HOCl-based interventions. Data were extracted from peer-reviewed literature, veterinary reports, and published experimental studies and standardized into tabular and graphical formats. The dataset includes information on microbial control, tissue healing, gut health, productivity pathways, and environmental sanitation applications relevant to small-ruminant production systems. The collection may support meta-analyses, mechanistic modeling, evidence synthesis, educational purposes, veterinary extension programs, and future experimental design involving hypochlorous acid technologies in livestock production.

Steps to reproduce
Data acquisition followed a structured literature review process. Publications describing hypochlorous acid applications in livestock systems were identified through veterinary, biomedical, agricultural and animal science literature. Relevant quantitative and qualitative information regarding antimicrobial activity, gut health, growth performance, wound healing, footrot management, navel disinfection, parasite control and livestock sanitation was extracted. Extracted information was standardized and organized into conceptual figures and summary tables. Graphical outputs were generated to visually represent biological and productivity pathways described in published literature. Tabular data were generated from published treatment outcome descriptions and reported performance measures. This dataset is derived from secondary literature sources and therefore depends upon the availability, quality and reporting standards of published studies. Some published reports lacked complete methodological and quantitative information. The dataset focuses primarily on goat production systems and may not represent responses in other livestock species. Additionally, large-scale field validation datasets remain limited within the available literature.
