Description

Data and code used for the paper "Face pareidolia minimally engages macaque face- selective neurons" by Koyano, Taubert, Robison, Waidmann, and Leopold, published in Progress in Neurobiology (2025). The dataset consists of MATLAB .mat files containing firing rates, statistical data, and spike density functions for each neuron. The MATLAB scripts provided were used to generate the figures presented in the paper.

Steps to reproduce

The data includes single unit data electrophysiologically recorded from fMRI- defined face patches. The associated Matlab scripts can be used to reproduce the plots in the paper. For details of the Methods, please refer the paper "Face Pareidolia Minimally Engages Macaque Face-Selective Neurons" by Koyano et al., Progress in Neurobiology, 2025.
