Data and code for: The Best-Fitting Shear Formulation Is the Least Safe in Corrugated Web Girders
Description
Experimental database, design-code implementations and complete analysis pipeline supporting a three-formulation assessment of shear design provisions for corrugated web steel girders. Contains 181 trapezoidal corrugated-web specimens with shear capacity predictions from EN 1993-1-5 Annex D, the AISC 360 Chapter G framework with Sause-Braxtan interactive buckling, and the CSA-S16 Clause 13.4.1.1 framework normalised to corrugated-web geometry. Also included: the physics-informed machine learning pipeline, the statistical analysis (McNemar paired tests with Holm-Bonferroni adjustment, bootstrap confidence intervals, nested cross-validation), the figure generation script, and an audit script that re-verifies the compiled manuscript against this data. Every numerical value reported in the paper is produced by these scripts from these files. No number in the manuscript is hand-entered. The 181 specimen records are a secondary compilation derived from the 206-specimen database of Shrif, Barakat and Metwally (Heliyon 10, 2024, e24858) and have not been re-verified against the original test reports. All code implementations, derived predictions, statistical analyses and scripts are original to this work.
