TickZone Northeast Tick Risk Dataset (5,688 towns)
Description
TickZone is a free daily tick-risk forecast covering all 5,688 towns across the nine states of the U.S. Census Northeast (CT, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT). Every town gets a 0 to 100 risk score and a green/amber/red band that updates daily. Files in this record: - county-tick-species.csv (217 rows): per-county establishment status for the three tick species of public-health concern (Ixodes scapularis / deer tick, Dermacentor variabilis / American dog tick, Amblyomma americanum / lone star tick). The full town-level file towns.csv (5,688 rows of per-town risk scores and their inputs) is provided in the linked source repository and mirrored with DOIs on Zenodo, OSF and Figshare (listed below). Score inputs: CDC county Lyme incidence, ESA WorldCover 10 m satellite forest cover and edge density, and daily weather favorability for tick activity. Snapshot date 2026-07-05.
