Acoustic monitoring was used to assess soundscapes, avian species richness, and community composition in two high-altitude locations in Brazil. Due to ecosystem and geomorphological differences, it was predicted that bird-soundscape interactions and species richness would differ between locations, and that relationships between soundscapes and bird species richness would be identified via acoustic indices.
