Work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic and its influences on project success.

Description

Data obtained from a survey of project specialists who were working telecommuting during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were asked about their perceptions regarding the influence of working from home on success criteria, as well as about their profile and some intrastructure conditions for the development of their work.

Steps to reproduce

The sample was asked to inform the influence degree of remote work on project success factors, according to the scale: (1) very negative influence, (2) negative influence, (3) neutral influence, (4) positive influence, (5) very positive influence. A literature review was carried out in Scopus and Web of Sciences (Wos) looking for criteria that influences project success. As a result, the following criteria have been identified: Schedule, Cost (budget), Scope (technical performance), Efficiency in carrying out, Mission/purpose, Organizational benefits, Preparing for the future, Stakeholders satisfaction, Political and social aspects, Legality and compliance, Safety, and Sustainability. Another investigation line was regarding to possible differences in evaluation between workers with different profiles, (e.g., gender, marital status, previous experience with WFH, IT infrastructure, etc.) The questionnaire was made available in project management groups and communities on the social networks Facebook and LinkedIn.
