Validation of the Self-Compassion Scale–Short Form for Turkish Adolescents
Description
This project contains the datasets, study materials, and supporting documentation for the manuscript entitled Validation of the Self-Compassion Scale–Short Form for Turkish Adolescents. The study provides a comprehensive psychometric evaluation of the Turkish version of the Self-Compassion Scale–Short Form (SCS-SF) using three independent samples of high school students. The repository includes data used for confirmatory factor analysis, measurement invariance, validity analyses, incremental validity, test–retest reliability, and longitudinal analyses. These materials are provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and future research.

Steps to reproduce
The repository contains three SPSS (.sav) datasets corresponding to the confirmatory factor analysis (Sample 1), construct validity and incremental validity analyses (Sample 2), and longitudinal analyses (Sample 3). Analyses were conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 22 and Mplus Version 8. Descriptive statistics, reliability analyses, Pearson correlations, and hierarchical regression analyses were performed in SPSS. Confirmatory factor analysis, measurement invariance testing, and Random Intercept Cross-Lagged Panel Models (RI-CLPM) were estimated in Mplus. Variable names correspond to those reported in the manuscript. Researchers can reproduce the reported results by following the statistical procedures described in the Methods section of the accompanying manuscript.
