Aerosol vertical distribution on Mars from SPICAM IR/MEX occultations (MY28-36)
Description
Includes a list of orbits, and extinction profiles at 1158 nm in km-1, effective radius in mum, effective variance, number density in cm-3, and mass mixing ratio in kg/kg for dust and H2O ice aerosols from SPICAM/Mars-Express solar occultation observations from MY28 to MY36. The errors of effective radius and density are not symmetrical. The error1 determines the length below the data point and the error2 determines the length above the data point. The nature of aerosol can't be distinguished by SPICAM IR. The Martian Climate Model and MCS/MRO observations were considered to distinguish the H2O ice during single observation. Data contains folders with the list of orbits and aerosol properties and extinction profiles for each occultation of MEX where SPICAM IR had measurements. Effective radius, variance, MMRs data files are named "SPICAM_XXXXXAY_aerosol_profiles.txt", extinction data files are named "SPICAM_1158nm_oXXXXXAY_extinction_profiles.txt", where XXXXX is the decimal orbit number, Y is the occultation number in orbit. The list of orbits with latitude, longitude, Ls and local time averaged between 0 and 100 km during an occultation is given in "list_of_orbits_occultations_SPICAMIR_MEX_MY28-36.txt". In Version 3, the lost orbits from 'Extinctions' and 'aerosol_properties' have been added, and the names of the columns in the extinction files have been included.
