Palinspastic recontruction based on seismostratigraphic and seismotectonic data help help identify Tethyan during two major periods (upper Paleozoic, Triassic-Jurassic). Reactivation of major faults rooted in the basement overprints rift sedimentation and basin Framework. This study helps evaluate the petroleum potential of Southern Tunisia, and clarifies the formation and typology of oïl traps.
