EFFICACY OF INTEGRATED PROPRIOCEPTIVE NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION TECHNIQUE IN REDUCING PAIN, TIGHTNESS AND IMPROVING QUALITY OF LIFE IN PATIENTS WITH KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS
Description
This dataset contains the research data associated with the study titled "Efficacy of Integrated Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Technique in Reducing Pain, Tightness, and Improving Quality of Life in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis." The study evaluates the effectiveness of an integrated Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) intervention compared with conventional physiotherapy using a two-group pre-test and post-test design. Outcome measures include Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), and quality of life (SF-36). The dataset includes anonymized participant data, baseline and post-intervention assessments, and supporting documentation for research reproducibility

Steps to reproduce
This dataset was generated from a two-group pre-test and post-test experimental study involving patients with knee osteoarthritis. Participants were screened according to the predefined eligibility criteria and randomly allocated to either the experimental or control group. Baseline assessments included pain intensity using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), functional status using the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), and quality of life using the Short Form-36 (SF-36). The experimental group received the integrated Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) intervention, while the control group received conventional physiotherapy. Both groups underwent treatment for 4 weeks (3 sessions per week). Post-intervention assessments were conducted using the same outcome measures. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics, with descriptive statistics, tests of normality, paired t-tests or Wilcoxon signed-rank tests for within-group comparisons, and independent t-tests or Mann–Whitney U tests for between-group comparisons, as appropriate.
