Description

This is a dataset for a laboratory/lecuture course on tandem mass spectrometry, specifically focusing on running X!Tandem on Google Colab. This dataset includes a sample MS/MS data with a single MS/MS spectrum and input files required for running X!Tandem, including input.xml, default_input.xml, taxonomy.xml, and ecoli-sfGFP.fasta.

Steps to reproduce

The MS/MS data was acquired on a Bruker Ultraflextreme using a positive-mode LIFT method. The sample was a tryptic digest of the superfolder GFP expressed in DH5a. The digestion was performed with a TFE-based, in-solution digestion protocol.
