Greener shade of concrete slabs
Description
Embodied carbon (life-cycle assessment) and moisture/strength performance data for eight supplementary-cementitious-material (SCM) concrete mixes, generated in support of the manuscript "Greener Shade of Concrete Slabs." The dataset includes: (1) mix design specifications for four mix designs (100% Portland cement baseline, 20% fly ash, 40% slag, and a ternary 20% fly ash + 40% slag blend) each cast at two water-to-cementitious-material ratios (w/cm = 0.55 and 0.40); (2) global warming potential and other TRACI 2.1 environmental impact category results from Tally life-cycle assessment (cradle-to-gate, EN 15978 stages A1-A3); and (3) moisture vapor emission rate (ASTM F1869), internal relative humidity (ASTM F2170), and 28-day compressive strength results for all eight mixes. See the README tab within the file for full methodology notes and mix-naming conventions.

Steps to reproduce
Eight concrete mixes were cast per the specifications in the "Mix Designs" sheet (four mix designs — 100% Portland cement, 20% fly ash, 40% slag, and a 20% fly ash + 40% slag ternary blend — each at two water-to-cementitious-material ratios). Embodied carbon was modeled in Tally (Autodesk Revit LCA plug-in) using each mix's material quantities, following the cradle-to-gate product stage boundary (EN 15978, stages A1-A3) and TRACI 2.1 characterization; results are reported in the "Embodied Carbon (LCA)" sheet. Moisture vapor emission rate was measured per ASTM F1869 (anhydrous calcium chloride method) at 28 days of curing, and internal relative humidity was measured per ASTM F2170; 28-day compressive strength was also recorded. Results for all eight mixes are reported in the "Moisture & Strength" sheet. Full methodology detail is provided in the associated manuscript.
