Validity and Reliability of the Europe Quality of Life-5 Dimensions-5 Levels (EQ-5D-5L) for Patients with Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction
Description
This dataset was collected as part of a postgraduate research study entitled “Validity and Reliability of the EuroQol 5-Dimension 5-Level (EQ-5D-5L) Questionnaire in Individuals with Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction (SIJD).” The study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the EQ-5D-5L, including test–retest reliability, inter-rater reliability, and concurrent validity among individuals diagnosed with SIJD. A total of 100 participants meeting the inclusion criteria were recruited. Data collected included demographic characteristics, EQ-5D-5L scores, EQ-VAS scores, Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) scores, and Roland–Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) scores. Reliability was assessed using Intraclass Correlation Coefficients (ICC), Standard Error of Measurement (SEM), and Minimal Detectable Change (MDC). Concurrent validity was examined through correlation of EQ-5D-5L scores with ODI and RMDQ scores. The dataset may be useful for researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals interested in health-related quality of life assessment, psychometric evaluation of outcome measures, and research related to sacroiliac joint dysfunction and musculoskeletal disorders.

Participants with Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction (SIJD) were recruited according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. After obtaining informed consent, demographic data were collected. Participants completed the EQ-5D-5L questionnaire, EQ-VAS, Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), and Roland–Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ). Inter-rater reliability was assessed by two independent physiotherapists administering the EQ-5D-5L on the same day. Test-retest reliability was evaluated by re-administering the EQ-5D-5L after a 3-day interval. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. Reliability was determined using Intraclass Correlation Coefficients (ICC), Standard Error of Measurement (SEM), and Minimal Detectable Change (MDC). Concurrent validity was assessed by correlating EQ-5D-5L scores with ODI and RMDQ scores.
