Description

Time waste in the workplace remains an understudied phenomenon in management and industrial-organizational psychology. The present study examines multiple, conceptually related indicators of perceived time waste and inefficient time use at work, providing a comprehensive assessment of how employees evaluate their use of time in the workplace. Particular attention is given to the role of adaptive personality traits represented by the Big Five and maladaptive personality traits represented by the Dark Tetrad. Using data collected from 249 employed adults in the United States through Prolific, this study investigates the extent to which personality traits are associated with perceptions of time use.
