Pain education for patients with fibromyalgia: A qualitative study of experiences in focus groups

This dataset comprises qualitative data obtained from focus groups involving adults with fibromyalgia who completed a structured pain education intervention. The dataset includes transcribed discussions addressing participants' experiences with the program, perceptions of chronic pain, understanding of pain neurophysiology, coping strategies, and the influence of pain education on symptom management and quality of life. The data were subjected to qualitative content analysis, generating thematic categories that describe participants' experiences and knowledge related to pain education in fibromyalgia. The dataset supports the findings reported in the doctoral research.
