Monthly Export Duration for 6-digit HS Code

Description

The dataset reports the export spells based on monthly export data from the Comtrade Database. The dataset is based on imports as it is widely acknowledged in the literature that countries report their import data more completely and with less error. The first column reports the number of months a bilateral trade relationship is either active or not active. The first draft only includes export duration for Chapter 1. The second column is the status of the trade relationship, 1 if active and 0 if not active. The third column gives the identifier for the bilateral trade relationship, in the order of exporter country, importer country and the 6 digit HS commodity code.
