Description

This dataset accompanies the study “Noise constraints on cooling opportunities: Complementarity between nearby places and later hours.” It contains analytical data and Python code derived from hourly S-DoT temperature and noise observations in Seoul, South Korea, from June to August 2024. The archive includes contrasts between recorded-hot observations and nearby or later-hour alternatives, machine-readable result tables, resampling outputs, measurement-sensitivity analyses, and source and integrity records. The common-origin cohort comprises 201,004 observations at 393 monitoring sites; the equal-candidate comparison comprises 40,841 observations at 78 sites. README.txt, DATA_DICTIONARY.txt, ENVIRONMENT.txt, and SOURCE_DATASETS.json describe the archive structure, variables, computational environment, and original data sources. The supplied derived inputs support reproduction of the study’s fixed-origin analyses.
