Globally, shoal-channel systems represent a fundamental estuarine geomorphic feature, critically influencing navigational safety and sustaining deltaic-ecosystem services. This dataset contains the stepwise changes in the shoal-channel system of the Shiziyang tidal channel (SZY) in the Pearl River Estuary by employing Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and Morphological Shannon Entropy (MSE).
