Time allocation to fuel wood collection and rural child schooling in Uganda
Description
The data is picked from the Uganda National Household Survey 2019/20 collected by Uganda Bureau of Statistics. It was purposively selected to include only the rural households from all regions in Uganda. It includes observations on time spent collecting fuel wood, distance to fuel wood collecting areas, income of the households, gender of the children (6-23 years), gender of the household head, age of the household members. However, these are only for rural households as mapped in the survey. The data was collected using random samples across the country and collected for a period of 12months to cater for seasonality.

I purposively selected rural households only using stata 17 software from the Uganda National Household Survey data 2019/20. I also purposively selected children aged 6-23 years because it is the official school age in Uganda. Household heads were included and later were gender disaggregated. Data on child schooling was categorised with two outcomes, currently schooling or not schooling. However, the primary data as captured on this variable in UNHS is also kept to help any one who may want to use it. Household characteristics such as income, education levels, age, household size from the different regions in the country were included. Regions are included using dummies.
