Description

This dataset contains processed data, figure-ready source tables, supplementary tables, metadata and helper scripts supporting a manuscript on global butterfly intraspecific trait variation. The release enables reproduction of manuscript figure and table summaries from processed data while avoiding redistribution of large raw source archives.

Steps to reproduce

1. Download and unzip the dataset. 2. Review README.md, metadata/source_registry.csv and metadata/variable_dictionary.csv. 3. Run python code/00_setup/check_release_package.py. 4. Run the figure and table helper scripts under code/05_figures/ and code/06_tables/. 5. Compare generated summaries with FILE_MANIFEST.csv, FILE_DESCRIPTIONS.csv and the supplementary tables.
