Wintering Waterbird Survey Data from West Dongting Lake, China: 2016–17

Description

this dataset contains wintering waterbird survey records from ten sub-lakes of West Dongting Lake, China, for the 2016–17 wintering season. Surveys were conducted from October 2016 to March 2017 across 17 survey dates. The dataset includes survey date, wintering phase, lake, scientific name, common name, species code, and abundance for each recorded species. It contains 914 species-level records representing 44 species and a total abundance of 200,635 individuals. These data form part of a multi-season study of wintering waterbird abundance, species richness, lake occupancy, distribution patterns, and ecological assessment.
