SUMMARIZING DIFFERENCES IN SELF-SELECTED WALKING SPEED BETWEEN PEOPLE WITH AND WITHOUT CHRONIC NONSPECIFIC LOW BACK PAIN: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND META-ANALYSIS OF OBSERVATIONAL STUDIES
Description
This dataset contains the study-level data used in the meta-analysis of self-selected walking speed in people with chronic nonspecific low back pain compared with pain-free controls. The systematic review included 35 studies, of which 33 provided sufficient quantitative data for inclusion in the meta-analysis. For each study, the dataset presents the study identification and citation, sample size, mean self-selected walking speed, and standard deviation for the chronic nonspecific low back pain and control groups. Walking speed is reported in metres per second. When necessary, weighted means, pooled standard deviations, and combined subgroup data were calculated to obtain the values used in the meta-analysis. The dataset contains no individual participant data and is provided to support transparency and reproducibility of the analyses.

Steps to reproduce
-Download and open the dataset containing the mean SSWS, standard deviation, and sample size for the nonspecific CLBP and pain-free control groups. -Import the dataset into statistical software suitable for meta-analysis. -Calculate standardized mean differences for each study, with negative values indicating lower SSWS in the nonspecific CLBP group. -Pool the effect sizes using the random-effects model described in the associated manuscript. -Assess between-study heterogeneity using Q, τ², and I² statistics and calculate the 95% prediction interval. -Conduct the sensitivity and influence analyses and assess funnel plot asymmetry using the procedures reported in the manuscript. -Compare the resulting pooled estimates with those presented in the manuscript.
