This dataset supports the systematic review titled “Artificial Intelligence in Nursing Practice: A Systematic Review of Applications, Impacts, and Ethical Considerations.” It includes metadata extracted from 53 peer-reviewed studies published between January 2020 and June 2025. The dataset is organized into four thematic domains: clinical applications, operational impacts, educational implications, and ethical considerations. Steps to reproduce

1. Conduct a systematic literature search using the following databases: PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. 2. Apply search terms including “Artificial Intelligence,” “Nursing Practice,” “Clinical Decision Support,” and “Ethics,” using Boolean operators and filters for peer-reviewed articles published between January 2020 and June 2025. 3. Screen titles and abstracts using PRISMA 2020 guidelines. 4. Apply inclusion criteria: studies must describe AI applications in nursing contexts and be published in English. 5. Extract metadata from eligible studies into a structured Excel sheet (Author, Year, Country, AI Type, Nursing Domain, Outcome). 6. Perform thematic coding using inductive synthesis to identify major themes and subthemes. 7. Document ethical concerns and categorize them using a thematic matrix. 8. Organize all data into three sheets: Study Metadata, Thematic Coding, and PRISMA Screening Log.
